Ecco l’intervista in lingua originale.

Tell us something about yourself. When did you decide to move to our country? Why to Ovada?

I played my last college season in Canada. My coach and his wife from Canada have made a huge impact in my life since the passing of my mother. They helped shape me and get me ready to play in Europe. Playing in Europe has always been a goal of mine because I want to play in Eurocup. I arrived in Italy in early September. I came to Ovada because my manager told me this was a really good situation with good people. So far it’s been great here and it’s been amazing.

What do you think about this new championship? What’s your impression about it?

I think the league that we are playing in is really talented and very competitive. The game over here is very different from Canada and more physical. I think once I get accustomed to the style of play I can help our team out more. It’s great for us since we are the younger team because it teaches us how to play as a team when diversity comes upon us.

What about coach Brignoli and your teammates? Who among them affected you?

Coach Brignoli is a great coach and even better person. He has made this transition for me so smooth because he knows so much about the game. I take in everything he says because he played in the top league and against great NBA players. I am very fortunate to have him coaching me in my first season. My teammates are great as well. I’ve connected with them all very well for the most part. The language barrier hasn’t been that big of a problem. I can’t spell the names but everyone one of them I’ve bond with and chat with. They are young and very competitive which is great. We push each other in practice everyday to get better. I’d try to spell there names but I don’t think I could come close. The team as a whole has effected me. I enjoy being around them learning the Italian slang and picking up a few words from them.

22 points in your first game. Not a bad debut…

I think I played okay in my first game. It would of been great to win but it did feel good to finally be out their with the guys competing. I think we have a shot to make the playoffs this season once we all gel and click together as a team.

What’s your objective here in Italy?

My objective is team win games and try to help us get into the playoffs. I’d like to try to help coach and the team get back to were they were a few years back by going to the playoffs. We have all the pieces to make a run toward the playoffs. We just have to take it one game at a time.
